Updated Buell Brochure

Updated the Buell brochure I posted the other day, mostly just changing the font for the body text and moving some things around so it has a bit more impact.

The front and back covers have pretty much stayed the same, I just changed the font from Arial to Myriad Pro. I've also added a stroke to the pages so you can see how the pages look with the white border I put on the inside, the stroke isn't on the finished piece.

So this page stayed pretty much the same, I just changed the body font to Myriad Pro and increased the font size which ended up having me remove the Buell logo I had there before. I also changed the actuall black used before from 100% K in CMYK to added some percentages to the other colours used. Eg: 70% cyan, 70% Mageneta, 70% Yellow to make the black a rich black instead.

Here I increased the text size used in the side page headings and fliped the right hand page image so your eye goes back to the middle so you read the second page a bit longer. I also tried to fix up the body text to get rid of the window/orphan problem I was having before, but I'm not sure if I've maybe made the font size too small. It is a small brochure so you wouldn't be reading it that far away from your face.

Again changed the text here quite a bit and brightened up the image used for the components background. I also think the green and the yellow text on that page makes it stand out a lot more compared to the solid black I was using before.

Overall I'm pretty happy with how the brochure turned out. I did struggle a bit with the smallness of the brochure (148mm x 105mm), but I think the main problem was all the body copy I had to use in the brochure. Normally I wouldn't use a font so small, but I couldn't see anyway around it, other than using say a condensed font which to me looked ugly. The other way would be to remove the white borders from the insides and then you have like an extra 10mm to add more text into, which might've left enough room for larger text.

Anyway we're going to be starting on a new brochure next week I think, this one will be music based.
