PS3 console import
So I've been reading up on importing PS3 console, since at the moment our aussie dollar is so high it makes importing things really cheap compared to buying here.
What I've been reading up on though it about the power for the PS3. Now Australia uses 240v, while the US and Japan uses 110v. But reading a few forums and that I came across that the PS3 has an internal power transformer that can accept both 110 and 240v, so you don't need a step-down converter you just need an adapter plug. Do you guys know if this is true?
It seems people are running the Japan PS3 here with no problems so it seems it's true. Would be nice to buy a $700 PS3 instead of paying $999 for it.
