The Duke of Uke and his Novelty Orchestra

They're wonderful. Their sound is concentrated, lush, and a bit vintage for lack of a better word. David King has taken the styles of a plethora of great musicians and blended them into something that's nothing less than unique.

Nobody can describe them as well as themselves: They're like "nothing you've ever heard before. The most original, foot-stomping, rootsy, soulful, and downright funkified ukulele music you're likely to hear. A lil' bit 'New Weird America,' a lil' bit rock and roll. Definitely not your grandparents' (or great-grandparents') ukulele music." There's nothing I can really tell you about them that their MySpace page can't. David King is a very cool and very talented musician, definately worth a listen even if you're not normally into ukulele music. I totally bought their CD. And I hate buying CDs (vinyl is where it's at).

Band members:
David King: Ukulele, Electric Ukulele, Singer-Songwriter.
Rebecca Burlingame: Drums.
"With special appearances by a cast of thousands"
