[Given how much Altair'd talked about missing his friends, it's a surprise he's waited this long to send a message from home, but he is. It looks like he's in some sort of well-lit medieval-style house, though it's dark in there right now and it's hard to see much other than Altair.
However, he does look pleased in a way he hasn't really been in Jigoku.]
It's really nice to be home here, though I know it's not going to be for very long. It was good to see Ia again, though I don't know where Ani is, which worries me - at least I sent her a letter, and she'll believe me.
Nnnhhh... at least I'll have some stuff to bring back, too. And Lie seems to have enjoyed visiting here so far. It's... well... I really don't want to go back to Jigoku, but at least I'll get to do so slightly more prepared.
[Note that anyone popping through the door will not end up where Altair is, exactly, but will end up out on the streets of Calimport - one of the largest (and seediest) cities in Faerun, where you can find just about anything you'd think to look for in a medieval fantasy city. Including trouble. In fact, it's rather easy to find trouble there, and one wonders how a man like Altair doesn't get into issues there.]
