Writer's Block: Singles Awareness Day
Honestly speaking, I didn't notice it's Valentine Day. Well, it hasn't come to my awareness as in this morning I try to send out a package and was asked to write down the date next to my signature, I immediately asked the receptionist "What is today's date?" and she replied with "February 14, Valentine's Day," with a cheery tone and that was when I went like "oh right! Totally slipped my mind *nervous chuckle*"
If this question is being asked a year ago, I would say "you mean the day I know for sure that I'll be comfy on my bed and do nothing but Web Surfing? Then yea, it's just like any other day; it's only meant for couples *scoffs*" However, after learning that Valentine is to celebrate all kinds of love, I began to think of it as a day to cherish the love between friendship and family, asides from romantic one. For sure, couples have the best time of their lives, for a day to celebrate their love for each other. At the same time, I can always hang out with mom or my girls; or even single guys for this day. So now I have come to love Valentine Day as in a day I feel that all my friends and family should gather together and have fun! Let the couples go out and let friends and family gather! XDDD
Yup~ I don't love love but i don't dislike dislike. Valentine is a day to embrace the love you are being given and to give your love to those you cherish. I don't have romantic version of Valentine day to hate it LOL
