Paint Day for the Chevelle
I got my buddies 65 Chevelle painted today .
We started at 8 AM and I walked out of the paint booth at 6 PM , I walked around his car 9 times , once with a coat of sealer, 4 times with base color , and 4 times with clear . My poor arm is about to fall off ..........LOL
I layed some Black SS stripes on the car also which added about 2 hours on the whole process , but was well worth it , as it came out real nice !!!!
Now all I have left is to hand sand it with 1200 grit , then hand sand it with 2000 grit , and buff-it out to a glass finish , and she will be all purdy !
We may let it set for a week or 2 before we do all the buffing , as I think he wants to take a brake from working on it as he hasn't had a free week end since he started building it 2 years ago , and I know he wants to get out and hunt for a big Ol Buck ! :-)
Well I am going to rest for a few more minutes and then hit the bed , it was a long day , but well worth the tired bones as all the time getting the body all nice and straight sure made the car look nice . Cant wait to see it all finished by spring .
