Depleating the rainforest...

This morning Tim and I tackled the nursery. We stripped the jungle/rain forest paper and removed the switch plates in preparation for painting. We'll definitely need to prime the walls and have a ways to go until it's done, but it was great getting past this first stage. I was surprised at how big the room actually is now that there isn't all that crap in there. My worries over a full size bed (if we get a convertible crib) are pretty much gone, which is nice. I don't know how much further we'll get on the "project" this weekend. I'd like to at least tape off and prime the walls tomorrow morning, but we'll have to see how it goes. I did pick out a color for the bottom half of the wall and might try using some left over paint for the top half. I worry a little since the room seems bigger than I remember, but hopefully I'll have enough left to make it work. We'll just have to wait and see. I think we're going to go ahead and paint the ceiling too. The blue clouds might look okay if we leave the top half neutral, but if we decide to paint it to a gender specific color later it would look a little silly. We'll see.

Okay, babbling over. Hope every one is having a good weekend. Korin... if you're out there... send me an e-mail. I'm having serious back/shoulder troubles that seem to get worse with each visit to the chiropractor and I want to make sure they aren't doing some thing odd. LOL!
