Gone
My paid educational career is over...at least for now. Friday was my last day, even though I am coming back next Friday to help with the field trip to Cahokia Mounds. I also found out one of our teachers is leaving after this year for greener pastures. Can't say I blame her, she was initially told in Jan. her job was in jeopardy due to her being the youngest staff member. Then the main office told her she would be okay for 2008-2009, but not after that. She just got fed up and is going to Churchill an even more exclusive, private special needs school in West County. Money is better and she would specialize in one area of curriculum, either social studies or language arts. So, things will be much more different at Annunziata next year, more then we anticipated.
Saw Iron Man this morning...it rocked!! Probably the best movie I have seen in years. Worthy of being purchased and I pretty much stopped purchasing movies years ago. I want Gweneth Paltrow's hair color from that film. From there we did the Fantasy Shop since they were giving away free comics and did the Valley of Flowers festival. Came home and have been doing laundry/thank-you notes/putting baby stuff away. I really need to lay down and veg for a while!!
