Innsmouth
I got this email from SL this morning:
Group Notice From: Nameless Ones , Darmin Darkes
Innsmouth sim is for sale.
I hope that someone will want to keep some of the build. Worst case is having to flatten it and sell it.
I just can't afford it any longer. I'm not leaving SL, but I have to cut back my sims.
Thank you for your years of support and friendship and the passion you've given to Innsmouth. It's only pixels and I'm sure there are better versions waiting to be built, probably by one of you.
The Lindens sell a Region for $1000 and $295 a month maintenance.

I felt it was coming for awhile now. Its just majorly lame that the first build I fell in love with is probably going to be gone soon. I spent so many hours there, found so many secrets. I just hope someone loves the sim enough to take over on it.
But I don't agree its just pixels, because its become more than that to me. I just wish it wasn't so prohibitively expensive to run a sim there, or I'd take it on and keep it as it is, as long as I could.
I guess I'd better start gathering more pictures. :(
Edit: Shortly after I wrote this I got the notice Innsmouth IS closing in only 3 weeks. :'(
