I'M SO SORRY!!!!!!

May 22, 2013 19:42

I didn't realize that you guys thought I was in Oklahoma, so I wanted to clarify so that you guys aren't under the wrong impression. I'm in Kansas, so there was only some bad storms that could have turned into tornados, but thankfully, didn't.  I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to give you guys the wrong impression.  Really, truly sorry. :(

an apology and an explanation

Still... I feel bad that you guys thought I was in Oklahoma suffering with all those people who have lost their homes and loved ones when I was in Kansas and relatively safe. Sure, we've had several potential tornados and some nasty storms, but it wasn't even a quarter as bad as what happened in Oklahoma.

You don't need to be *that* sorry about it. Maybe you don't need to be sorry at all.

I'm glad you're safe and sound.

We've had some tornado threats here in New England the last couple days too. Official "Warnings," meaning that the radar showed rotation in the clouds that could without further warning turn to deadly funnels in an instant. Fortunately, aside from some hail and a lot of thunder/lightning, no actual tornadoes. But the same kind of weather is predicted for the next couple days. It's pretty scary. We're not used to this here--not more than once a year or so, so twice in two days (not to mention a few times last summer and a pretty bad one that actually happened in my closest metropolis two years ago) is really frightening.

Thanks.

Yeah, that's what was going on here. My first experience hearing a tornado alarm sound. It's pretty...alarming.
I bet. Tornados aren't exactly the norm in New England. You guys will definitely be in my thoughts over the next couple of days until the storms are passed.
Stay safe!

No worries. It's hard to know where all the cousins live, geographically speaking, so Sparky is compiling a list to help us keep track of everyone in the event of an emergency. I think it's a brilliant idea, don't you?

Again, very glad you're safe.

I couldn't agree more! Will she be posting it?

Thanks. *hug*
Now we can only hope that everyone still in the path of the storms will be safe... I heard that there were five tornados in Texas today. Not sure if anyone was injured.

Hey sweetie, it's a good thing that you're out of harm's way. Kansas is the end of the rainbow, right?

Yeah...sorry for the confusion. I didn't realize you thought I was in Oklahoma. For some reason, that didn't sink in my thick skull till later. :L

Thanks. *hug*
