It's 2:00 on Saturday and I'm definately just sitting here at home...how lame. lol
See I watched this movie on HBO based in the 50s about these 3 guys who go to LA to find Marylin Monroe. So the tough guy sneaks into her house and she rejected him, but he left his number. Then, she called in the middle of the night and instead of the tough guy going, he lets his really shy friend take her out. So they go to the beach and drive around town and she tells him he's lucky to have good friends and they have a great time. And then she killed herself a month later. But that wasn't the moral of the movie, the only way he got to spend an evening with Marylin was because they made it happen. The last line was him saying "Nothing ever happens if you don't show up." Carpe diem sorta thing...such is life.
Nothing ever happens if you don't show up.
Any control I thought I had just slips right through my hands
while my ever-present conscience shakes its head and reprimands me
reprimands me
then and there
I confess
I'll blame all this on my selfishness
yet You love me
and that consumes me
and I'll stand up again
and do so willingly
You give me hope, and hope it gives me life
you've got too much to wear on your sleeves <3
and it's too much to do with me
