Save your recyclable bottles and cans this week! Pretty please!?
I still need help with the can and bottle drive, Monday, May 26th. Collection is supposed to run from 10am to 3pm, but if we just do my neighborhood I would expect it to take less time than that. It took me about an hour and a half to distribute flyers, so maybe twice that to actually go door to door. I'm planning on kidnapping my sister that morning and getting her to help me, and we're probably going to go out to eat or to get ice cream or something afterward to celebrate whatever funds we bring in. If you are available that morning and are willing to help out, let me know as soon as possible so I can plan accordingly. I need to know what resources I will have available to me that day so I can properly organize them, and that includes people. If you aren't available but would like to join us for lunch/dinner/ice cream later, that's cool, too.
Whether you want to join me that day or not, I'd appreciate it if all of you would consider saving your cans and bottles this week to donate. I can pick them up from you or you can bring them the day of the drive if we meet up after, or if you decide to help out. Just let me know what's going on so I know who I need to meet up with at the end of the week, and what's going on.
Just to put this in scope for you, I need like 50 cans just to make $5. Having to write a $2 check to donate would be pretty embarrassing, and I've put a LOT of work into this. So I need ALL the help, and ALL the donations I can get. So even if you can't help out that day, you can contribute by drinking lots of pop this week and throwing the cans in a bag for me. :)
