After night of ironing pants...

So the last couple days have been kind of interesting for me. I've had a couple really pretty awesome days at work. I'm kind of getting into this job, but I'll be honest, I still really miss the news job. Which I'm still working in my spare time.

Yeah, kind of awkward, that. Something in there will cave eventually.

I just got back from a really cool weekend with a couple of my best friends, which was sorely needed. If you can't guess what kinds of nothing went on, you don't know me very well.

Things are weird, though. I mean, as much as things are (actually seriously) kinda looking up for me, I've been in a horrible mood for the last couple days when I've been here at home. It's not work because that's going decently, and it's not money because I'm actually paying bills. I'm chasing several interests that I finally have a little liberty to follow, but I've just been really irritable. I don't know.

And it's officially too cold for me to run in the mornings. My lungs lock up as soon as I get on the road now, and I'm just not too confident in my ability to get back home mid-run if I happen to have some sort of post-asthma attack or something. So -- and here's something that no real gamer should ever have to say -- I'm in the market for a gym. My plans for not taking any extra time out of my day won't work, though, as I can't seem to find a gym close to work for anything less than $50 a month. I might have to just throw $30 or so a month at our local Y until I can manage to find a treadmill and some weights. Argh. Now I'll have even less time to try to read and do art and, you know, actual mental stuff.

Speaking of mental stuff, my dreams are getting weird again. I had an RE dream a few nights ago in which I helped lead a group of survivors out of the infected city. There were more than a couple zombie confrontations, and one of the people in our group was making so much noise and basically being a liability that we almost voted to get rid of her ourselves. Talk about monsters. My other dreams have been short clips, the way people regularly dream. Nothing special there.

And from a couple nights ago when I was doing some gym research online:

Spot0: Argh. I'm so frustrated with trying to find a gym around here.
Phulaeo: heh
Spot0: Like, one of them has an actual website.
Spot0: What year is it again?
Phulaeo: some time early in the 21st century
Phulaeo: unless the amish have taken over
Spot0: Really? 'Cause it certainly feels, oh, 90sish in here.
Phulaeo: these internets are SO ten years ago. :D
Spot0: You have no idea. Someone needs to teach these meatheads how to frigging HTML at the very least.
Phulaeo: haha
Phulaeo: don't know that I've ever seen HTML used as a verb :D
Spot0: UNTIL TODAY.
Phulaeo: wow, that's some serious conviction from you. ;)
Spot0: Man, I'm just really frustrated that -- while Google can tell me that there are five gyms within 15 miles of me, I am going to have to drive there or call each and every one on my own to get their rates and equipment.
Phulaeo: hehe
Spot0: This is not information that I know what I'm talking about. I cannot go and and say "Uh, yeah, do you have this particular piece of equipment?"
Phulaeo: haha
Spot0: It's like I'm searching for equipment with which to build a space station from Lowe's.
Spot0: in Spain.
Phulaeo: impressive
Spot0: Except at this particular Lowe's you have to go in and make yourself sound like an idiot and get led around by the hand being told stuff that you have no idea how to translate.
Phulaeo: I hope the liquor stores aren't like that.
Spot0: You kinda wish that you could research the stuff on your own, if the information was actually available like that.
Spot0: BUT NO.

dreams, aim
