we're DONE!!!
so here comes the long awaited entry... i've been waiting for this moment for 13 years..we are DONE with high school!! we will walk across that stage in a little more than a week and it is surreal. the memories will be life long...
so last night was my last softball banquet ever and by far the best. I wasn't truly able to express yesterday how much these girls mean to me and I doubt I'll be albe to put it into words now. This sport and these girls are so much a part of my life, a part that i'm leaving behind. I remember the 1st tryout and now it's all over. To all the seniors I love you and you are all wonderful players and people. To all the juniors, you guys will do me proud. I have so much faith in you both as players and as teammates. Every moment has been great and I'm going to take these times and memories with me forever. I could go on forever but I'll try to keep it short.
JV did a great job preparing. they just make us look bad with their paragraphs and pennants. I'm going to miss those girls a lot. It's been an honor being apart of this program...we are state champs, we aren't region champs..hell we didn't even have a winning season..but it has been the time of my life. Leah and Erin it's been an honor and a privilage being able to serve as captains with you this year and I can't even begin to express how much you guys mean to me. I can always depend on you and you're always there for me, both in my fits of rage and bouts of depression. I love you guys so much and I can't imagine not having you guys playing right there with me ever again. And I can not express the feelings of honor and gratitude for Lightsey as he stood up there and gave those awards out...I've learned a lot from him and those words meant more to me than making 1st team All-Met, to have someone care that much means so much. Once he said what he did I just couldn't hold it back anymore...chelsy was bawling and i joined right in. Riso's video was amazing and it was the best banquet ever. I love you all. Thank you for 4 great years. pound it, around it, lock it....
OK enough ranting...PROM IS TONIGHT!!!! I'M SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!
