I am currently working on a fanfiction story entitled "On My Own: The Chino Chronicles."
It is a saga that covers Ryan's life from age 16 to 19, explaining how I think his life would have turned out if Dawn took him back in The Gamble episode of S1 and he never got to live with the Cohens. He will be attending Chino High School in the story because a friend of mine who is from Chino, California has given me a lot of background on what Chino is like and The OC did not give an accurate depiction of the city. Ryan wouldn't have attended Chino Hills High School because that is the wealthy high school in Chino. Thus, he would have attended Chino High. Chino High's colors are royal blue and white, which will be depicted in my fan art for the story.
This story will contain extreme angst towards the middle and latter chapters, but the beginning will contain some fluff with Ryan drawing inspiration from Sandy, who will still be Ryan's mentor from a distance. Sandy will encourage Ryan to partake in extracurricular activities at Chino High such as soccer and drama and Ryan will be studying hard and believing Sandy when he tells him he's worth it. Eventually, however, Ryan's home life in Chino will become tougher and tougher and his domestic situation will become overwhelming. The life that he built up for himself will begin to fall apart, and he will be left on his own to survive.
When it's finished, I will begin posting the story and you can read it to find out what happens to Ryan! My friends beachtree and Julia will beta the fic.
