I saw an article on Yahoo today declaring the worst Halloween candies. It was written by some snooty foodie writer, and I can't imagine what kind of candy he hands out, but when you are trashing Hershey bars, Milk Duds, Smarties, and Dum Dums, well, something isn't right in your world

that brought back the memory of a tiny store near my elementary school and how we would love to go there and buy penny candy after school. And there was the dime stores downtown too. I wish we could still get some of those candies these days. They were so good. MaryJanes and Bullets and others in our area. I like candy too. I can sometimes break my habit for a few months but I usually go back. Right now my favorites are $100,000 miniature bars and Heath miniature bars....and Milk Duds.....OH MY....how I love them.

They've changed the recipe of so many old favorites that I don't crave them like I used to.

Oooohh, I love Twizzlers. Time was I could buy a one pound bag and eat the whole thing (not in one sitting, but easily within a couple days). I purposely don't buy it now because of that very reason.

I love Smarties too, but they may be a different type. In Canada Smarties are like M&Ms, but somehow taste different.

I don't think I want to read the yahoo article.

Yes, the Smarties are different. Ours aren't chocolate, more like a softer to chew and not as tangy version of SweeTarts
