I just begged one of the sportsguys to find me a place where Faygo is sold, and buy me a "redpop." This touched off the age-old soda/pop dispute, which I (correctly) defended by saying that Faygo is actually identified on the label as "pop," so pop it is.
This, in turn, touched off a series of questions about what else I enjoy that I can usually only get from back home (Coney Island, Better Made chips, Vernor's, etc.), which in turn mandated a discussion about the Lemon Bay community theatre, and then morphed into which president was better, William Howard Taft, or James K. Polk (neither of whom have anything to do with Detroit, theater OR my procurement of the aforementioned Redpop).
Sigh. It's great to come to work and have meaningless conversations again.
