I've seen better movies made with flipbooks and frog piss.
Okie! So I just saw the new star wars movie, as well as hitchhiker's. I don't feel too much like posting right now, and I'm tired, but I'm gonna give a quick rating for it.
Star Wars ep 3 gets a VERY generous 4/10. 0 overall, but +1 each for two good actors (I thought palpatine was good), and plus +1 each for two good scenes. I felt one of the cgi droids did a particularly convincing job of acting like a cgi droid, so that might be worth an extra point as well...but they're lucky I don't take away infinity points for Vader's "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" so it'll just have to take its 4/10.
And Hitchhikers was pretty average, as far as romantic comedies go. That's what it was, right? I was already familiar with the plot, so I didn't laugh at hearing the earth got blown up to make room for a highway, and it's not like there were any other jokes.....soo....? And the love story was meh. Personally, I just don't think they knew what they were doing. They had too much of it for the movie to be anything other than a romantic comedy, but they just didn't develop it well enough for it to be a good one....Teh sigh.
