The bittersweet miracle of life.

This morning around 4am my cat Sassy had four kittens. One of them was dead upon entering the world, and one died shortly after birth. The other two are alive and well, and adorable as all hell. I figure they'll be big soon because all they do is suckle. Silly sucklers.

Last night she went into labor, and my brother called and told me, so I kinda knew this was gonna happen. Two of them dying was sad... but I got the chance to visit today and meet the two new (temporary?) additions to the family. One is totally black and the other is black and white spotted (cow style). One of them is really weird looking, its face is all squished up like a pug (but not so that it looks like a birth defect or anything), so my brother showed it to me and said "Wow Zach! It looks just like you!" -_-

Hmmm... not much else to tell... my eye is all fucked up, twitching and infected, so I got an eye ointment from the doctor I have yet to apply. Life is boring, but in a good way. I'm still about as antisocial as you can get without being in a coma, dead or married. There are some possible awesome events coming up these next few months: a visit to New York, possibly a few concerts, and of course my birthday.

17. Woot. I feel so old. (that's April 11, in case you want to get me a gift/card/lovage).

I am rediscovering my long-buried lust for creepy Japanese girl bands. I guess that probably belongs on top of my gigantic pile of "musical guilty pleasures" along with Savage Garden, most other Japanese music, and a plethora of humiliating bands I can't even mention for fear of isolation and rotten-tomato-targetage.
