(no subject)
It's been a busy week. Its not mentally stimulating working retail, but being upgraded to managed for a week while the boss is on vacation at least means more hours. I've been trained to close for the past month so that I can fill in for Jason for 2 weeks as a closer, which may lead to bigger and better things (or as close to them as working at GameStop gets).
Even though my tenure as manager ends next week, Jason seems to want to continue my manager training. He may be preping me to take over for Tim, should he ever find a teaching job to his liking. Or maybe he'll make good on his threat to move back to Texas. Whatever it is, it'll keep me busy while earning my MBA. Speaking of which, I finally got all the paperwork in on that, so I should be hearing back about it soon...
I hope I get accepted to grad school. I'm sitting here like a lump, not going anywhere. I'm looking for a CompE job, but my heart isn't really in it because I'm not sure I really want to be purely tech anymore. Friends and previous co-workers alike seemed to be getting burnt out by it, and school seems to have taken some of my enthusiasm out of me. An MBA would unlock new doors, but I'm ready to walk through those doors now to get away from this...
