Tiger Milk looks like a fantastic cocktail

As I was scanning the scrapbook options for my graduation page in the crafts store yesterday I received a wonderful call from the magical Chris McDonald which had to regretfully be cut short so I could return home to my domestic domain to glue and paste. During my glue and pasting project I got another call from Holly (who is dorm friends with Chris) who told me "I ran into dorm friend Chris today and we realized neither of us knew what you were doing....like in general..."
So I guess that's a signal for me to update. Hopefully this goes well.
In general my days, compared to those back in Davis, appear to be a blur of nothingness. I have too much time per day and have trouble deciding how to plan it all out which generally is alone too much work for me at once and I often end up attacking this task in front of either the Food Network, The Ellen Show, or The Rachel Ray show. (Stop judging me)
The events which I need to accomplish each day vary very little. Most important is studying for CSETS (which is often put off by my small less important tasks) and trying to motivate myself to go work out at the gym with Mutti or at the beach with Abby (Pretty much my two best friends right now. People don't believe me when I say I have no friends now. They start to understand when my second best friend is actually a back lab). Aside from those two tasks I'm working on a book I started making for spoon back in the 1400's and using it to inspire the start of my very own scrapbook which I have decided will start with UCD Graduation and grow from there.
Speaking of growing I'm also considering planting rosemary outside my house. Basil is by far the fresh herb I use most but isn't quite friendly to the Monterey climate but I may try anyway. Cooking is clearly my other main occupation. The dishes I am to this day most proud I have made here at home are my macadamia nut crusted halibut with lemon butter sauce, my chocolate creme brulee, and a hazelnut meringue with a coffee cream center.
My cooking has reached such heights in fact that my dad has asked me to cater his World Series Party this Wednesday. Ok so basically that's a joke because honestly he's only inviting about 4 people but I'm hoping to convince my mom to invite some as well and maybe the party can get upwards of a guest list of 10. I have yet to decided what to make for this mini party but since I have no friends of my own to cater to here I'm really very excited about it.
Things with bradley are good, you can stop be skeptic about him not yet being mentioned in my post. And I do consider him my friend and I do steal his friends from time to time to trick myself into thinking I have substantial social life at home but hanging out with one person, no matter how much you love them, doesn't compare to having a small strong circle of friends. Hence the excessive cooking, baking, reading, working out, and classroom volunteering in an attempt to avoid the lonesome pains.
As far as Spain and school and work: I am officially registered as a substitiute teacher and can sub in all of Monterey County as far down as King City if I wish but I have decided to limit myself to Carmel until CSETS are over then expand my horizons into Monterey and Pacific Grove. I'm extremely excited but also horribly nervous as sometimes when I enter classrooms students still refer to me as "that chick." I don't think such an address bears respect nor a remote recognition that I am older than them (even though I wear a plastic card around my neck that says so). So great. I'll be a hard challenge but also a great experience to have before I got into programs.
So far I have applications in the works for Stanford and UCSB. I have no idea what I'll do if I get into neither or if I should add another to the list as a back up. I'll probably deal with that, again, after CSETS.
Spain looks like it'll fall on a time line from end of January through the first week of May giving me about 14 weeks in the country. I have two main programs I'm looking at and honestly sine I dont really know much about any of them am debating based on locations. (Suggestions welcome!!)
That's pretty much everything and now everyone can be caught up with out having to try and battle the awful phone service I get here in Monterey (don't be surprised if I don't get your message for 4 days...it's happened).

I miss you all so much! I'm going to go visit spoon right after CSETS and spend the weekend with schpun the 4-5 and then we're both hoping to come visit Davis that weekend after...but ANYONE is welcome to come visit me in Monterey at anytime...I'll cook you lots of good food and you'll probably get a scrapbook page devouted to you out of it!

XOXO
Fork
