Oh My God, You Guys!
Seriously. I'm still sniffling from Obama's beautiful victory speech THAT HE WROTE (take that Mr. Nukular). I started crying as soon as he said "gay and straight," and I didn't stop the whole way through. I actually have some hope for this country's political leadership for the first time in, well, ever. It's just...amazing. I wasn't sure that I would see this day. I am so proud of the country as a whole. I feel like my youthful idealism has been justified. I know that's a bit much to read into it, especially since he hasn't taken office yet, but I'm just so happy. Thrilled, actually.
*grins uncontrollably*
We did it! Now if only I didn't have to get up early tomorrow and go to work :-(
