We all started with a stumble. Man, I get old and I get humble.

This weekend had highs and lows, but for the most part the enjoyable outweighed my grumpy disposition (which mainly took hold after having to endure four hours of tiny women in ball gowns unable to hit the right note.)

I watched Gattaca and drank vodka sunrises with the band. I danced in the street to private mandolins. My personal space was violated by a scantily-clad Bundy first-year on the M.I.A-infused dance floor.  I snuggled (with a man)  while watching lesbian porn. I watched a friend strut on stage in a bikini and talk about why Indiana is wonderful (she is from Florida and looked sexy in the bathing suit.) I am increasingly liking the flexibility of ambigious relationships. My shoulder was kissed with increasing awkwardness in front of the attractive bassist.

I am not entirely sure how to describe my current state, I have rewritten the opening sentence to this paragraph four times. I am content. There really is no way around it, I feel happy with the way everything is going at this exact moment. That is really all I have right now: busy, sick, tired and truthfully content.

Oh, also, everyone should check these guys out: www.myspace.com/yeasayer

I saw them this weekend, and was more than pleasantly surprised. They were fucking fantastic. Don't believe me? Go download 2080 and Sunrise. They are going to be successful. They crashed on our couches, and were truly awesome human beings.

porn, pageantry, handsome farmers
