I got a hair cut yesterday that I'm pretty happy with. I haven't had sidebangs in awhile, so I got some- a pretty substantial change, I'd like to think. So, I make sure that I devote appropriate time to styling my hair today, because I wanted it to look good on its first day out.
I get to school, make up my history DBQ, and then walk to the swim hallway. I was feeling pretty damn good as I said hello to people, sat down, and started talking. About ten minutes later, the bell rings and I walk to Spanish. We had a sub, and she told us how we should love our teacher and stop stressing her out. (lol, I know) Then, I went to History, and some guy sat in my seat because he thought that it'd make him smarter. Finally, I went to Physics, and listened to people talk about what drugs they do. I left for water polo (it's polo season now! :D), feeling sad because my faith in people was next to nothing. Honestly, is there one person who isn't completely fake? Jesus. I'd settle for just a little bit fakeish. So I spent the whole class emoting onto some notebook paper instead of paying attention. Meh, rotational velocity. At polo, I got wet with some reluctance, and I'll tell you why. Do you want to know why? Well, I'm going to tell you.
NO ONE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT MY HAIR.
Throughout that dull day, there was not one thing. Not "did you get a haircut?". Not even a "you look different!" Nothing. Notice the lack of people saying "Damn, Kim, your hair looks fantastic!".
First, everyone's on drugs and talks about each other, and then they don't even comment on my haircut.
After polo, I'm driving home in the pouring rain, and I see that the neighbor's dogs have gotten out. I'm already soaked (swimming will do that to you) and was only wearing my suit and a pair of shorts, so I ran across the street and cussed at the dogs until they returned from whence they came. Bloody helldogs, I hate those things. Don't like their owners, either, but that's not related. Not really. Except that I wouldn't have cussed at them so much if I'd actually liked them.
Now I'm just driveling so that I don't have to go do my history homework. I'm so ready for summer- I'm burned out. No more school, please! I'm done! Mercy!
