1. What's it like to sell Mary Kay?
I love selling Mary Kay. I love the product and I love meeting people. I go through stages where I don't sell that much, but I am ok with that. It is a business that you can do as much or as little as you want. You get out of it what you put into it. I started selling when I was working at Alltel and would have done really well there because I worked with mainly women. For the past 6 or 7 months I haven't been working so I don't come in contact with as many people. However, I did have a facial today with my Aunt-In-Law and did well. I think I will do even better at selling after I go back to work. (I have an interview tomorrow! Cross your fingers! It is just a retail job, but I am ready to get out of the house! I enjoy retail anyways!)
2. How's Married life? and being a stepmom?
I enjoy being married. We have our ups and downs, but all relationships do. We will have been married a year on April 30th! It has been a crazy year, but we are still kickin'!
As far as being a step-mom, I love it. Britain is a wonderful person. I think of her more as a sister than a daughter though. She has a great head on her shoulders, so there is no reason for us to ever pull out the parent card! Bo has done a great job raising her. I love the time that the four of us, Bo, Britain, Brian, and Me, get to spend together.
3. What's your favorite child hood memory?
I have so many! I guess my favorites would be anytime the family took the camper to Myrtle Beach or anywhere for that matter. We went every year to Ocean Lakes, a really cool campground right on the beach. We had so much fun! I really miss those days!
4. Do you miss us?
Of course I do! There isn't a day that passes that I don't think about everyone at SPSU. Sometimes I get on Facebook and get so sad looking at everyone's pictures. My heart just aches and tears fall. I have to make myself get off of the pictures. I really wish I could have finished my time there, but it just didn't work out that way. Plus, I would have never have met Brian!
5. How many jobs have you had and what was your favorite one?
Let's see. Seven, I think. My first job was a secretary at Seller's Realty. Then I worked at Alpine Amusement Park. I worked a couple of months at Corning Revere, then later started working at Nacoochee Antiques. After that it was the Helen Welcome Center. Next was FedEx Trade Networks and lastly, Alltel.
I really enjoyed everything besides Corning and Alltel. They both sucked. I loved FedEx and wanted to stay, but a 2 hour commute one-way was just out of the question. The Amusement Park was really the most fun I have ever had. I worked there for two summers with all of my best friends from high school. Plus, there were boys everywhere! We dated so many people those summer's it's crazy! There was always drama. We used to joke and call it "As The Ferris Wheel Turns."
