I want to die! :(

Is it bad that every time i take a deep breath pain shoots across my left side? It started at work...everytime i would take a deep breath i would feel pain up by my shoulder....so i was able to put up with that....when i got home i just laid down on the floor and tried to fall asleep there....and it got worst....it started to go form my shoulder down to my stomach....it even got to the point to where i was afraid to breath...i have had this happen before but it went away rleativley fast. My mom asked if I wanted to go to teh doctors...but since im stubbern and hate doctors i said i will live. I promised her i would let her knwo if it gets worst...I just want to curl up and cry cause i want it to go away!:(
