Title: Where the Sun is Silent Characters/Pairing: Dean, Sam Rating:pg-13 Word Count: 1,700 Summary: It’s moments like these when Dean knows he should give up. (kind of a coda to 6x06, angst and more angst)
"He can barely muster up the desire to try. It’s moments like these when Dean knows he’s going to carry on."
Perfect summation of Dean Winchester.
This is more wrenching than the end of 'My Bloody Valentine's' cry to the heavens--you make me feel every bit of the agonizing thought process going through Dean's head. So, so very heartbreaking!
This is perfect. It's what I would have loved to see on the show: an acknowledgement on Dean's part that while he suffers the terrible fate of being stuck with robo!Sam, his little brother is still in hell, and might be forever. Thanks for writing this! It's the kind of Dean I've been missing for a while.

Exactly why I wrote this. I've kind of been wondering why so far that fact hasn't really been touched on. Then again, it's not like the writer's have been at the top of their game so maybe I should be surprised :)
This is astounding writing. You've captured so perfectly the rock bottom of despair that Dean must feel, to be deprived even of the dream that Sam might be OK or that he can rescue him and make it OK. But because it's Dean he just keeps going because he doesn't know how to quit when it comes to Sam. This was truly heartbreaking.
This is wonderful and heartbreaking and so full of that stubborn Dean Winchester resolve. I wish that this was the Dean we saw on SPN. Beautifully written.
He will restore Sam’s soul to his body. And if he comes back wrong, or damaged beyond all repair, then Dean will pick up his gun and do them both a favor. For once they’ll go out on their choice, their own way, and they’ll go out together.
