I LOVE MY CLASSES. so far at least.
recap (as if you care):
FILM I- really loonnng (12 hrs/wk) but looks exciting!! AND it looks like there are NO ASSHOLES this time. if there are i havent met them yet and at least theyre not the SAME ASSHOLES from production I. theres only 2 other spoons out of 15 total. i already know at least 5 pretty cool people.
KOREAN- i'm kinda ahead right now. cause i can read and write, if slowly. our prof is a spoon and she's so funny and cute. and i've already made a friend.
BLUES- antone teaches it. my largest class. 150 people. theres lots of footage and occasional live performances. roy is in the class too. and already naomi visited.
RECORDING- seems very laid back. i think its going to be very useful to me. because at this point i am very ignorant about such things.

we played FIRST THURSDAY again.
more of our friends showed up this time and some even helped.
amarah, roy, yoo-jin, anne, mike and his gf lauren. hmm. did i forget anyone?
and OUR FIRST TIME PLAYING W/ OUR NEW PA, SPEAKERS AND KEYBOARD AMP!
we are still learning how to use the stuff. but it already sounds a hole lot better than before.
my dad was there and a coworker of his ran into us and gave us some technical advice about levels and stuff.
we didnt make as much in tips as we did last time. but we werent out there as long this time. i'm not hoarse tho! it was fun.
its cool cause you meet all kinds of people who want you to play at such and such an event or want to give you free web hosting. crazy.

Sofia Coppola
Your film will be 59% romantic, 25% comedy, 30% complex plot, and a $ 20 million budget. Relatively inexperienced (The Virgin Suicides, Lost In Translation) as a director, but already highly respected and connected -- her dad, Francis, directed all The Godfather movies, Apocolypse Now. Also, at last word she's dating Quentin Tarantino, so I'm sure he'll have some input into the substance of your film. Sofia's good at making the romantic drama that is your life. Who didn't have at least a lump in the throat at the end of Lost In Translation? She's already won one Academy Award for her writing, now she'll be the first woman to receive one for directing.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 83% on action-romance

You scored higher than 10% on humor

You scored higher than 21% on complexity

You scored higher than 0% on budget

she's alright. its good to see a spoon getting attn as a director. but i wouldve preferred various other people who were not on the quiz. most of which are dead. its ok. gotta be up w/ the times, you know.

oh yah and i finally watched 'DANCER IN THE DARK'. i really liked it, although i can see why some people didnt. bjork is amazing. she shouldve married michel gondry but i wont go into that again.
