Argh HTML sucks!
It's 5.30pm and I've just finished work and arrived home MUCH later than expected, on a friday no less. Why? Well I spent 7 hours straight today (no kidding, the energy drinks got me through most of it) creating a TV guide/schedule at work. I checked and double checked everything, links, fonts, styles, legends.... you name it! I even scheduled in 12 months of programs to "showoff"...... but then as 4pm approached and I hit the publishing button, a million bazillion errors popped up! HTML errors, Link errors.... Argh! So I manage to fix them all but the STYLE tag one. Apparently all my 54 pages are using a STYLE tag that is not in the CSS, and that means we can't publish it.
Fair enough, I'll adhere to the style tag that's in the CSS, IF YOU COULD TELL ME WHERE THE INCORRECT STYLE IS IN THE CODE *shakes angry fist at computer*. yeah i spent another 1 1/2 hours trying to fix it to no avail. *sigh* I think I need to give our webmasters a call on Monday about it. Such a shame really - I expected to fix it on my own and earn a sense of achievement. Al I got for staying back at work was a slight cold (it was raining as I rode home) and a strange buzzing sound in mye ars and eyes... damn guarrana.
Bah I'm off to celebrate my friday night with my flatmate - here's to polishing off two bottles of beautiful white wine (sensibly of course) and having an early lie in before a hectic weekend of editing, interviewing and preparation to head home for two weeks *yay*.
