Greened

The sink at work hadn't been cleaned since January 2008. There were dirty dishes and utensils lying in the sink long before I joined the company, so you can just imagine how disgusting the sink became. When I picked up a butter knife, it was brown, smelled of compost and felt very slimy.

Anyway, I started doing some initial cleaning because I couldn't stand the stench coming from that area. I decided to be environmentally friendly and used white vinegar, baking soda and hot water to clean the sink. The combination decently cleaned the sink and that somewhat surprised me. I'm used to believing that chemicals are the way to go, so it's sort of nice to be proven wrong when I don't have to use a substance that can burn through my hand.
