so i was stalking other people online and it made me want to write something of relative quality. i mean, not really, but just for showing off's sake.
my day actually started last night.
I ran for an hour, told liz about it, went to work, closed the pool, watched a movie and ate taco bell with jesska, biked back to my second home, woke up at 430, took my smile and some tea back to the Y, opened, was relieved by cesar, swam for an hour, steam roomed (oh the steamy freaky goodness! and the germs, i imagine) showered, AND STARTED A SUMMER TRACK CLUB, biked around looking for something, couldn't find it, came to the library, stalked some people online, typed that last item on the list.
cathy and lara, the coordinators of things at the Y, who shall be referred to as THE WHY, are interested in appealing to the 8-15 demographic. BAM, i got a job, just like that. I mean, it's not set in stone yet, but Cathy was just about hugging me she was so excited about it. And i'll get paid, and I'll learn to drive a bus, and instead of selling my soul to the parks district, i can do something that i love, with reliable people, and i won't have to wait for the goddamn bus that never shows up, because I'll be the goddamn bus. take that CPS. I'm really stoked, in a hungry sleepy i don't want to go to work kind of way because i like THE WHY and I don't like city/government jobs, although they are really lucrative and easy. I like coaching and I'm happy that I can keep it in the family, so to speak, that my jobs are all going to be in one place, cuz commuting is kind of lame, even on my sexy ass bike. I just find ways to get distracted and i spend too much money. Where, if I just spend my whole day at THE WHY, i can get a tan, get paid, have fun, be close to all the things i like (food, kimball street, the apartment above curves, golden nugget) and spend my time away from work actually being away from work. it's really satisfying to not be globe trotting and pressed for time, although i don't actually know what that feels like. I've got a healthy imagination, i'll manage.
happy birthday katie jo, good luck team FSU, FUCK SHIT UP!
