vongo is a program that is trying to replace netflix. you pay $10 a month so you can download movies on to your computer. sounds good in theory. but not so much in practice.
starz! (the sorry excuse for HBO) owns vongo.com and vongo. they also own the rights to all the movies they have on their site. but that is all you get. the website only has the same crap movies that you can get on the starz network.
so long story short buy starz! on demand through your local cable provider.
But on to business. How To Pirate, crack, convert to dvd, convert to wmv, Vongo video files.
there is little on the internet to show you how to prevent the vongo program from encrypting the files. i have figured out a way to do this. it is not as easy as copying a dvd, (in fact i just fucked up one just now) but it is possible.
1. enable the "show hidden files and folders" on your windows viewer.
2. look in "C:\Program Files\Vongo\Content"
3. now enable the download of the movie you want from vongo
4. refresh the "C:\Program Files\Vongo\Content" and you will notice a new hidden wmv file (it will be a huge file name like a09ujjkl;jl;hj089233pihla.wmv)
5. open that file in windows media player and pause the video (other players probably work and you can watch the video while it downloads if you want.)
6. go back to your vongo program and keep a close eye on the download progress
7. when the file is almost done downloading go back to your windows media player and "save as" the file to a new location.
8. if you time it right the new file will be a fully functional wmv.
9. if you are too quick it will still play in most cases, but the file will be bad and not fully functional. i think there is software that fixes these partially downloaded files.
10. make sure to convert the file to dvd or another format quickly. sometimes these files will stop working after you cancel vongo.
happy cracking
