Thanksgiving
The cons:
1: I hate to cook.
2: I'm in charge of the family feast this year.
3: This last weekend my husband just FINALLY stopped working on the unfinished library and collected the tools and bits strewn all over the house so I could start cleaning this house covered in construction dust and clutter from shifting furniture and stuff from room to room as we remodel. I'm still cleaning and mopping and I'm exhausted!
4: Did I mention that I suck at cooking and really hate doing it?
The pros:
1: I have the best low-drama family and I love them and enjoy being with them.
2: We all live very close to each other so the weather won't prevent us from being together.
3: My mother is bringing the oyster dressing.
4: My dining room is gorgeous and the table is huge.
5: The party is at my house, which means I can have drinks if I want. No driving!
But if anyone mentions that the turkey isn't as good as when Mama cooks it,(and I know it won't be) I'm just saying, "I told you so! So vote me off the island for next year and somebody else cook it!"
