It's a damn good day for a fucking change when you go to try on pants, pick out a couple pairs in what you believe is your size, and discover that they're two sizes too big.
Everyone keeps asking me how I'm losing weight. Here's the thing: I don't know.
"What's your exercise regimen?"
Come again? What is this "exercise" you speak of...?
"What are you eating?"
Food that I like.
"Which gym do you go to?"
*hysterical laughter*
I don't exercise. I'm not in the habit of doing things that I absolutely abhor the very thought of doing. I no longer work in an office (damn those temp gigs) and now have a job that keeps me on my feet all day. It also involves a lot of lifting and pushing things around and such, so that probably can count as exercise although it's not something I just up and do. I am getting paid for that crap in this case.
Here's what I eat on a given day: Special K with berries (I do measure out a cup of cereal - I also use smaller bowls) and 2% milk, a Special K bar and cheese and crackers (one slice of sharp cheddar cheese cut into three, and six Club crackers), or if not that, then a Yoplait Whips yogurt thing (Key Lime, Orange Crème and Peaches & Cream are my favorites) and sometimes a Special K bar but not very often, and then whatever I want for supper. I don't go out to eat but once in a very great while, and I practically never eat fast food. I do eat Jaffa Cakes, though. I always get the sweet craving after supper, and those orangey-chocolate pieces of heaven do the trick nicely. I drink black coffee, no cream or sugar, all morning, and water the rest of the day. Every so often I'll have a soda or go to a coffee shop for a rigoddamndiculously expensive mocha.
The gym is an evil institution hellbent on making you feel like an absolute hog no matter what your body type, therefore forcing you into exactly the kind of physical exertion that you're hardwired against.
Or maybe that's just me.
So I guess all of that adds up to me losing weight. I used to have a desk job and eat horribly, but a few months ago that just suddenly changed. It was a hell of a turnaround and it wasn't as if it was even a conscious decision. I didn't sit down and plan a diet, plan a schedule and all such things people do. That's not my style. I don't plan. Anything. Ever. I don't know, I'm not one to come to for dieting advice. I don't think I am dieting. Things have just changed, and I'm going with the flow.
Topic change, note to Rivers Cuomo: Sometimes when you sing, you start to sound a little breathless. Stop doing that.
