I am still an artist
As promised, I have found more sketches to post today.
This is a video game world kind of a drawing. I was thinking about what I was going to do for the cover of Lost Keys, and trying to decide what the coolest things from video games were.
This is the sketch of the Merman drawing that Shelly asked me to do, like, last March. I still haven't finished it! Crashing waves are so hard to draw!
Holy crap I did a lot of sketches for Pat's "Horse, Robot, & Stripper" drawing. You can see that this is an early one by how much it sucks.
Take a look at that horse on the bottom right. Now you can see I'm getting my head around the horse as a character instead of just a static drawing.
This girl is totally sighing in her head.
This is a hot rocker chick. She's got safety glasses to prevent being rocked to pieces.
Spy Video?? Oh yeah?
Sometimes when a businessman is walking away he just trails visable hopes and dreams.
This guy is SO BAD that instead of a tie, he has an evil snake!! But the snake had plans of its own, don't you know! "ARRGG!! Snake, you will bend to my will just like the rest of humanity!!" "Oh, that's what you think!" Or maybe the villian is just saying, "Rise, Snake, RISE!!" and the snake actually is doing what he's told.
At my old job, we would use the back side of old memos and things for scrap paper. A program that I started, actually! Before that, they were just throwing them all away! I started a recycling bin there, too! But anyway, this was a print-out of a painting by one of the artists, and I added some stuff to it.
Pumpkin. Lightning. Oh yeah!
This is a real guy who Jen and I would really see jogging through Northport in the morning!! He had a sweet mullet with a bandana for a headband, wicked sunglasses, a walkman, and really short shorts! And he would only ever be out when it was raining or misting! (that's why there's raindrops in the drawing)
John and Conrad, saying a sad, leafy fairwell to their favorite dining hall one Friday evening.
I was listening to local radio one time, and the DJ sounded really cool, like she had lots of inside jokes with her friends and had kind of a carefree superior attitude, and this is what I thought she probably looked like.
This is more of a drawing than a sketch, but I still did it at work, so I think it counts here. This was the first appearance of that winged troublemaker who later appeared on the Christmas Rock Spectacular poster, on the cover of Lost Keys, and in several other sketches I've posted here. This time he's like, "ERRR! I really wanat that HAMBURGER!!!... But YAAAA!!! I don't want to get that SWORD!!! stuck through me!!!" While the dinner defender is like, "Back, you vile fiend!" and his date is all, "Oh my!" and she's thinking about how awful this all is, that the dinner was so dangerously inturupted, but she's also kind of glad to see how strong and amazingly brave her man is in the face of such an attack.
