A thoughtful stranger
Today as I was driving home from work I suddenly realized it's spring. Everything is green and blooming and pretty. I was in an awful mood, far out of proportion to anything that might have precipitated it initiallly. So, I decided to go to the Japanese gardens in Zilker park and watch the koi. I almost didn't when I thought about traffic, but I decided to hell with it. I almost fell asleep on the way over there, I guess I was more tired than I realized, but when I got there it was awesome. Everything was indeed green and blooming and the whole place smelt wonderful. I walked down to the koi pond and just sat for probably an hour under the wisteria watching the koi swim. At one point I suddenly heard a voice next to me ask "Do you know what this is?" Strangely I wasn't startled, and when I turned there was a man there holding a four leaf clover. He gave it to me and left with his son. I guess I looked like I could use some good luck.
