Next weekend I'm going to be at MMRF telling stories. I've lost a considerable amount of weight (though not as much as I would have liked), and the only garb that currently fits me is gypsy-ish. This is fine by me as it gives me an excuse to wear all the rather jingly jewelry I've collected over the years. It also is finally forcing me to get off my butt and learn this Fairy Tale Tarot deck.
However, I'm having concerns about my hair.
This photo is a couple months old at this point, and a head-scarf IS an option... but I have a few concerns.
One, although my hair is a little longer now than it is in that photo, the head scarf still covers up basically all of it; I'm not sure that I like the way the headscarf looks without copious amounts of hair falling down and out of it.
Two, Red hair with a black streak is something that makes me stand out and makes me memorable to people--which is important in my line of work. I'm not a huge fan of hiding that.
Three, It's probably going to be hot, and I'd like a hair option that doesn't involve me blocking off one of my body's primary outlets for releasing body heat.
What this all adds up to is a plea for suggestions on how to adorn my head in such a way as to not cover up my hair, but still put off a gypsy vibe. Thoughts, suggestions?
Keep in mind that I'm an indie act and that means I can play a bit fast and loose with time and space regarding historical accuracy. Particularly since this faire has somewhat actively avoided pinning itself down too specifically in time. On top of that the only weekend I'm performing is their "fairy festival" weekend.

On an unrelated note, I'm having a hard time focusing on my reading this morning. The story for the Knight of Cups is 12 pages long! I'm so falling behind.
