How to get your friend paid with just two little clicks.

Two new ehow articles here and here. They're extraordinarily cheesey relationship-based articles and I feel a bit of a sham giving total strangers relationship advice... but after seeing some of the articles other people were writing I decided I might as well. In any case, they're completely work safe and I'd appreciate clicks and positive ( Read more... )

I've only got a few articles up and those only for a few days each, so I haven't actually made any money yet. However a friend of mine has a dozen or so articles on there and says she makes a few hundred a year off of it.

Is there any "secret" to that? I haven't been able to figure out what the secret is to a high paying article. Is it getting a niche? A popular subject? I don't like that the payment bit seems to be shrouded in secrecy.

I like eHow, but I'm also finding it overwhelming. Some people are like, I've written 40 articles *this month* and made a small amount of money (>$100). I'm like, (a) how the fuck do you do 40 in a month and (b) why are they so low paid? Is it the subject? The quality of writing?

Any insight you might have would be super helpful :)

Most of my stuff that I get paid well for are animal-care related.

Find stuff to A) save people money B) save them a trip to X (a vet) or C) crafty stuff.

There's also a list of 'most requested articles' somewhere.

Here are mine, and I make about $40-$50 a month off of them. I haven't written anything since October 2007. :
