--Jeff Mach, last Thursday, not so subtly asking me to do Trixie at his over night.
Jeff Mach's Cult Movie Over Night was this weekend. John, Shannon, Matt and I got to the hotel around six, just in time for the first bondage demo. I quietly greeted some friends, a few that I hadn't seen in forever, and sat down to watch.
After the demo, I mostly just wandered around aimlessly for a little while. During my wandering, the birthday boy (Jeff) approaches me and asks, "So, Willow, how's your Columbia?" I am then dragged off to the cast meeting for the Rocky Horror Ritual Show (explanation later). In attendance were Danielle, George, MotK, Genn, Lea, Jeff, a bunch of people I'd never met before, and a couple of people I'd met, but didn't know that well. Among the final group were Josh, Ed, and Michelina (sorry if I spelled that wrong).
After the cast meeting I grabbed some dinner, and then got ready for, and attended the masked ball. I spent some time dancing like a monkey before I ran off to find water. I ran into Ed again and spent some time talking with him before I got dragged off to a photo shoot. Included in the photo are Danielle, George, MotK, Genn, Matt, Christian, Shannon, John and myself (I think that's everyone). After that I spent a little more time dancing before I went upstairs and got ready for RHRS.
I came down stairs for a brief pre-show cast meeting where Jeff came to the apparently astonishing revelation that he hadn't had sex with a single person in the RHRS cast, or even had sex with someone who'd had sex with someone in the RHRS cast. Josh obligingly provided Elbow Sex, but I just don't think it's what Jeff meant.
Anyway, on to the Rocky Horror Ritual Show... It was an amazing cluster fuck, but a lot of fun. Jeff wrote RHRS based on, of course, The Rocky Horror Show and The Rocky Horror Picture Show by Richard O'Brien. Essentially, it's an audience-participation, improv show. Instead of playing the movie, we have a remixed and edited version of the soundtrack on hand. The MC/Narrator/Crim type person (in this case Jeff and Ed) ask the audience to make some decisions as to how the story runs. They get people to come up on stage and be the storm that Brad and Janet travel through, or the parts of the machine that create Rocky... it's generally just a good time. I didn't have my Columbia costume with me, and Cookie's didn't fit (no surprise there), so I did Columbia in the final layer of my Trixie outfit. I felt a little weird doing the Time Warp in a thong, but hey, these things happen. Anyway, it was great fun for the cast, and I think the audience really enjoyed it as well.
There was a play party afterward, but I elected to lounge about in the hallway with a few other people, instead. I rediscovered that Ed was a polyglot, and was jealous all over again.
At some obscene hour of the morning I stumbled up to my room where I crawled into bed with Matt, Pat, and Maggie.
