Funeral Home Collection

The auction house where I work sometimes got a HUGE collection of antique and vintage mortuary/funeral home stuff in from a man who used to own several funeral homes.  There's so much stuff we haven't even been able to go through it all.  There's a ton of black cases full of who knows what.
I've found make-up and "wound filler", an airbrush kit tailored specifically for the industry, sample grave markers from the 1920's, funeral veils from the 20's (they were used to drape the casket in warm weather to keep the flies off the body during visitations).  There's a wicker casket that was used to transport bodies from the morgue to the funeral home, an 1920's embalming machine,  all kinds of weird bottles and tubes and signs, an elegant folding bier (or church truck, as they're known), an old wood and cane table used for laying out bodies--this auction is gonna be nuts.
Here's some photos!
