Work...
So Maria (a girl I work with) is now mortal enemy number one.
I guess she's one step away from getting fired anyway, and lets just say that tonight probably pushed that over the limit, and now she's outta there.
She was supposed to work tonight from 5:20 to close (1:30) and by 5:45 she wasn't there, so it was pretty obvious she wasn't going to come, and she never called. Of course she didn't pick a normal day to not come in, she picked the day that we were remodeling the store, so extra people were put on in the afternoon, meaning it was only her and Lonnie to close. Well, that left just Lonnie and we can't have that... so they had to find someone to cover her spot, or just close early.
Well, I wasn't going to volunteer myself unless they absolutely needed me (remodeling the store was a fuckload of work) but no one else could fill it, so I said I'd do it and they looked at me and said "You can fill until 11 and then Kristy will close." Kristy was okay with that so we agreed.
Well, at 11, Kristy comes in and says she can't work, because of her baby. She had a believable excuse...
... Unlike Maria, who never called.
So, I worked a grand total of 15.5 hours today. I should have just pitched a tent and spent the night...
I feel kind of bad, but the fact that Maria is getting fired almost leaves me gleeful.
I'm so evil.
But in better news, Kevin and I have an inside joke that's leaving everyone else curious.
