June 16th, 2005 - Time to pay the piper!

Most people have probably heard some vague news about the Downing Street Memo that almost threatened Tony Blair's re-election, but it seems like few know of the actual details of this memo and its implications. Basically, it is the smoking gun proving that all of the people that accused George Dubya Bush of lying to the American people were right all along. It pretty much brings what used to be the anti-bush pipe dream of impeachment into a legal and ethical necessity for the American justice system and for the entire world.

Now before you go accusing me of partisan hackery (I am neither a democrat, nor a republican), let me first say that I hate Cliton, and think he was just as worthy of impeachment, and treason for that matter, for selling the safety of potentially millions of Americans to China for campaign money, among a few other things. Clinton is a liar, cheat, theif, and murderer. However, he is no longer president.

Well, hopefully we will get some justice from the House Judiciary Committee, who will be holding a hearing on Thursday, June 16th surrounding what was revealed by the Downing Street Memo (i'm sorry it's just another blog link, but for the life of me I can't find anything about it on foxnews.com!). In spite of the memo, Bush is denying that he made advanced plans for going to Iraq before he presented them to the American people. I find that to be odd since Tony Blair didn't deny anything from the memo, even though it almost cost him the re-election. I already know for a fact he was planning the war a long time ago, but I can't tell you how so I don't expect you to believe me (but that's not important). The biggest concern is that he was "fixing the intelligence". If indeed President Bush is found to have "fixed intelligence" surrounding Iraq to bring us more quickly into war with a country that had admittedly "WMD capability ... less than that of Libya, North Korea or Iran", should he not be stripped of his office and brought to justice? How can his actions concerning the Iraq war be considered anything but illegal, unethical, and otherwise dishonest? What other choice do we have but to prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law?

I know not many people read this, but still, I welcome your comments. I'd love to hear this from the other side, especially.
