Cyric is down at the bathrooms doing the nightly check. Avie is walking around the coffee table, going after my knitting needles (moved to safety) and discovering all the paper in the wastebasket. We were watching 300 with the subtitles on, of course, since the ear infections have reduced my hearing to half of what is was before when it wasn't

Are you saying having a credit card is part of being a responsible adult? 'Cause speaking as half of a couple with equally unwise spending habits, I've always considered NOT letting myself be pressured into getting a credit card to be the more responsible and adult option.

And whaddaya mean you can't be treated well just because you're a mom? I mean, granted, it does inevitably mean you're not the center of attention (but who could be around a charmer like Vee? Seriously, your daughter is the propaganda the childfree movement has feared since its inception.), but that certainly doesn't mean you have to get neglected or ignored or anything.

I don't have kids so its usually at my house but 4 times a year I have several of my friends, mothers themselves, over for a girls night and the husbands stay home with the kids. Even my childless husband has to go out and help his best friend with his kids so his wife can come out here.One night we had a body shop party, Another time we made jewelry. Last Christmas we found a student of massage who needed to clock practice hours (and they're not allowed to charge) and he came and gave massages from 8 PM to 2 AM while we all drank. We are having another one September 15th and yet again in Nov (or early December). I know you are pretty far but if either of these is when you will be in Massachusetts let me know. Even with 2 or 3 of us its pretty enjoyable.

I think "holding something similar" was mostly my suggestion but I figured I'd throw it out there and then I sent the comment before I finished it.
