One of the things I miss in Switzerland are comic book lovers. Art lovers in general, actually. Having gone to an extremely spectacular school for design/art, I made a lot of friends who are "in" when it comes to the art scene around the DFW area. Out of everyone I've become friends with, only ONE sort of knows what I'm talking about when I mention Iron Man, or The Watchmen movie, or The Avengers.
I also miss my friends who love campy movies just as much as I do, and take them and enjoy them for what they're worth: A campy movie. Snakes on a Plane, and GrindHouse (which I don't consider campy at all, but I think most here would) to name a few.
All I'm saying is that I want a fellow comic book/campy movie nerd to cream my pants with and delight over things like the new Watchmen movie and REPO! The Genetic Opera. Is that too much to ask? Surely I'm not a rarity here?
On a different note: Has anyone read "The Shooting War" ? If so, how did you find it? Good? Bad? I hear the art is amazing, and the storyline will really make you think.
Also, is there any information out there about The Enders Game comic? I don't know why I bother asking that question, I'm just going to look it up in a bit...
