A Spooks movie is happening THIS IS NOT A DRILL
Yes, it turns out Peter Firth wasn't just trolling us all for kicks (though he probably was a bit), there is an actual, genuine Spooks movie in the works.

NO! I do not like.
Honestly don't care about the new cast members, no matter how good (though I love Lara Pulver's work), so that's okay.
So, it comes down to Harry and Malcom? Hmmmm...welll...okay....
I was excitied at first, but, in all honesty.....meh. The thing that would make it great would be surprise guest appearances (Tom...Zoey...) which I doubt will happen, and acknowledgement of dire times past (considering they wrapped up "Tiresius" in 2 sentences.) via scripted throwbacks, but that would mean the writers would have to actually KNOW canon, AND admit to it, AND use it, so I can't see that happening either. Which makes me very sad. As in other hands, it could really rock! (I HATE missed opportunities and this seems like one in-the-making.)
Honestly, at this point, I'm far more interested in Tigertrapped's Spooks-verse double and tripple crosses....especially as her writing is far superior to these twits. Sorry to be "Debbie Downer" but there it is.

I knooooow, why these writers? I'm still stupidly excited, obviously, but UGH why them?
Throwbacks would be good but if Harry's the only existing cast member there won't be much they can do (I would be kind of surprised if that does pan out, not sure they'll be able to resist any cameos).
None of the Spooks writers were ever very good at caring about continuity, sadly - only as long as it suited them.
