...when you decided to do something that you knew would hurt me......no matter how long ago, it still hurts me. Don't always assume the passing of time will erase mistakes.
Life sometimes feels like it is passing me by too quickly. I often find myself wanting to reach out and grab all that I love right now and cram it in a bottle so I can preserve it there always. But then, I am not going To Be always, so I know that life is all about change and moving forward. I can't preserve things, but I can sure the hell hold on to sweet memories. And, once in a while, I want to stop and look around. I hate just passing through each day, not really realizing how fucking lucky I am to see this day. I need to stop, look, and smell this life. It could be gone tomorrow - hell, it could be gone tonight.
I got to see Cara this weekend. Certain things made me realize again how much I love and care for her, though inside I know I have always felt that. She is dear to my heart now and forever. I almost lost our friendship for good years ago, but by some grace, we have gotten things back on track as much as they can be for who we are now. We use to be so close, nothing could pull us apart. Stupid decisions was our demise (mainly my own mistakes) but time has brought us together again. We are both different people, but in so many ways, we are exactly the same girls as we were when we were 16 and 17 years old driving around in my car or hers causing havoc wherever we could. I want to hold on to that as tight as I can, but I know those days are gone. That is ok because we have new memories to create and hold onto.....I miss her. It was so good to see her this weekend and I had a great time just laughing with her.
I got a new frog for Jim, her name is Twiggy, which is ironic because she is NOT a twig. She is rather large. When I got Jim I wasn't sure if he was a guy, but sure enough, he is and sure enough the larger frogs are the females. Those two began mating right away and really haven't stopped a whole lot since I got her last Thursday! I guess I made Jim's life better.
Saturday night Cara, Jack, me, Sam, Em, Josh, Cindy, Johnny, Kirk and Kristen all went to the Monte Vista. I really love that place! I had about 5 drinks, and most of them in the first hour, so I was feeling pretty good, which was nice for me to do because I usually don't! Kamikazi shots are indeed the best drinks!
