The Beading will continue until morale improves...

Still beading (no pic, sorry). I stayed up until 5am Sunday morning beading. I won't be pulling any all nighters for the next few days because I have to work, but I will continue beading each night. If I keep at it, I think I can get the underskirt beading entirely done so that I can focus on the overskirt. I just realised that December is almost here, and it's making me jittery since I want to debut this dress in February.

So far, the center column of diamond-shaped motifs is complete, and I've started on the columns to the left and the right of it, each so far with one motif done (I'm doing three motifs in both of these columns - the pleating won't allow for the full four like the center column), and some of the anthemion motifs that go in between all the diamonds are done. I want to get it done before I take another progress photo, but I'm very happy with how it's turning out, and kind of amazed that I'm producing something on this scale.

J came over and we talked about the Godchild group we'd like to do sometime enxt year. It's nothing flashy, but I'm really looking forward to it because I'd like to try my hand at such precise Victorian tailoring. J is an amazing reference when it comes to suits, particularly their styling, and has a great eye for describing what makes a suit a suit. It must be all the GQ she reads. She'll be an incredible asset and reference when we get to that project.

no sleep, victorian, suits, dress, godchild, beading
