Went to see "Invasion" - Meh. NIcole Kidman still looks like a bobble-head Barbie doll. I liked the infected people and how they were addressed in the film though.
I'll have a progress pic of the dress underskirt in a day or so. I finally got all the gathers as I want them and the waistband is pinned in place. I would have sewn it today, but it was a rainy sleepy day, so I napped and played Okami. Sometimes you have to have a lazy day... I fitted it last night and was amazed at how it looks, even though it's still such a simple garment. Working on this, I'm shocked that something such as this is produced by me - I'm the same way about the green top that I made. I'm shocked that I'm the creator - I don't expect nice things to come from my own hands, so I'm amazed when something comes out well. Sadly, the aforemention green top has a small boo-boo that needs attention - some of the trim is coming apart.
I'll have to reset the loops with a bit of needle and thread . Not a big project, but a bit disheartening for something that came out so well. If you haven't seen the garment in question, you can see it
here. I won't post the photo again to avoid boring the people that have already seen it.
Here's a side project I've been working on off an on for a few years (did I mention the off and on part?) - I do enjoy other crafts than sewing, but don't spend much time on them anymore:
I was going to type more, but the computer's being dumb, so that's all for now!
