Well, it finally happened. A longtime friend of mine messaged me last night before I crashed out. He said "Hey, I've got a question for you". Turns out, he wants me to be the best man at his renewal ceremony. It was only a matter of time, really, his wife had told me last november that I would be standing up at the renewal, but it's not really something one thinks about - hell, that was just about 14 months ago. Anyhow, I accepted. May, 2006 is the closest thing to a date I've got on all this. Hope that gives me time to come up with proper speeches.
For some reason, I'm reminded of how a study found that people were less afraid of death than of public speaking - ie, if you're at a funeral, it's better to be in the box than the guy giving the eulogy. Granted, I'm not quite that bad with it, but, speaking in front of a crowd is just not something I like to do.
It'll probably go just fine, i'm sure.
In other news, mondays are the suck. Laundry day, two weeks of faxes to send to the DCI (not to mention that I had to run off copies, too). Talked to Joe, and it seems that the WotC release schedule has changed a little though it might just be for the set. The supposed street date for BoK is the fifth, but given the warehouse that he deals with, i've decided to schedule the release tournament for the thirteenth instead of risking sunday the sixth.
Enough of my blather
