One of my late night Internet wanderings has lead me to Librivox. The one audio book I tried (a Dorothy L Sayers book) I found was read in a disjointed style that made it unlistenable-to for me (but then I'm comparing against the very high standard of the BBC) but the project looks really interesting.

I might enjoy doing some reading for them. Have to see if its a feasible thing to do, but I'd like to.
